Exploring Islamic Geometric Patterns – Art of Islamic Pattern

PREVIOUSLY PRESENTED LIVE ON-LINE, MAY – AUGUST 2020

Taught by Richard Henry, ‘Exploring Islamic Geometric Patterns’ is an on-line foundation course, specifically aimed at beginners and builds from the simplest to designs to the most complex. It will enable participants to develop a solid basis in understanding classical designs and accurately drawing them, as well as showing multiple examples within their historic context.There are 15 classes in total, each class is a minimum of 2.5 hours, a total of approximately 40 hours of teaching material. The material covers all three main families of symmetry within in Islamic geometric art. Participants can register for an individual session below, or join the whole series for a substantial discount.
