    Acompaña al escultor Adam Williamson en un taller intensivo de un día dedicado a las técnicas tradicionales de talla en yeso inspiradas en el arte islámico.

    Durante esta experiencia práctica aprenderás a utilizar herramientas y métodos tradicionales para tallar tu propio panel decorativo en yeso. Explorarás diferentes técnicas históricas de talla, incluyendo talla en relieve y talla calada, además de recibir una introducción al colado de yeso y la elaboración de moldes.

    Los ejercicios iniciales se centrarán en los patrones geométricos y biomórficos característicos del arte islámico. Al finalizar la jornada, cada participante habrá completado al menos un panel tallado para llevar a casa.

    El taller está abierto tanto a principiantes como a personas con experiencia artística o artesanal. Cada participante recibirá orientación personalizada durante toda la sesión.

    Join internationally recognised sculptor Adam Williamson for a special one-day workshop exploring the traditional techniques of Islamic plaster carving.

    Working with traditional tools and methods, you’ll learn how to carve your own decorative plaster panel, inspired by the rich geometric and biomorphic ornament found throughout the Islamic world. During the day, you’ll explore a variety of historic carving techniques, including both relief carving and pierced carving, while also receiving an introduction to plaster casting and mould making.

    The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced artists and makers, with individual guidance throughout the day. By the end of the session, you’ll complete at least one finished plaster panel to take home.

    All materials, tools and equipment are provided.
